1.) Daniel Minahan’s On Swift Horses hit theaters today! Adapted from Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 novel, the queer romance pic is set in the 1950s, following Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her husband Lee (Will Poulter) as he returns from the Korean War. The couple’s newfound stability is soon upended as a dangerous love triangle forms with Lee’s brother, Julius (Jacob Elordi). While Julius searches for the young card cheat he’s fallen for (Diego Calva), Muriel’s longing for something more propels her into a secret life of gambling on horses and exploring a love she never dreamed possible. 2.) Heartstopper is coming to the silver screen! In lieu of a final season, Netflix greenlit a feature film starring and executive produced by the series’ leads Joe Locke and Kit Connor. Based on Alice Oseman’s upcoming sixth volume of her hit graphic novel, as well as the Nick and Charlie novella, the film picks up as Nick prepares to leave for university and Charlie finds new independence at school. As the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them, their group of queer friends continue to navigate the ups and downs of love and friendship. Stay tuned for more information!

3.) Lesbain comedian Fortune Feimster joined Billy Eichner in Amazon MGM’s untitled new comedy starring Will Ferrell. Though their character details remain under wraps, Zac Efron co-stars as a young convict fresh out of prison who holds a reality TV courtroom hostage, blaming the TV judge (Ferrell) for a previous ruling that he attributes to ruining his life. Keep an eye out for more details, and in the meantime, check out Feimster’s latest comedy special Crushing It on Netflix!

4.) Bravo shared a sneak peek of Below Deck, officially returning for a twelfth season June 2 with a 75-minute supersized episode! This season, Captain Kerry Titheradge reunites with fan-favorite gay Chief Stew Fraser Olender aboard the Motoryacht St. David, welcoming brand-new out stewardess Barbara Kulaif. In his fourth season, Fraser’s standards are higher than ever, but his aim for perfection is sabotaged when his stews’ personalities clash. Watch the video below and check out the full cast photos.
5.) PBS dropped the first trailer of Grantchester season ten, featuring parish curate Leonard Finch (Al Weaver) and his boyfriend Daniel Marlowe (Oliver Dimsdale). In the upcoming season of the British detective drama, a new case throws Alphy in the path of romance as he confronts new truths about himself. 6.) RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 revealed its largest-ever cast and a major twist to the competition format! As 18 queens return from seasons 2-17, they will enter the competition in three groups of six, with each group competing only within their own bracket across three episodes. At the end of each installment, the top-three queens will advance to another two-episode round before a final lip-sync smackdown that will determine the winner of the $200,000 prize and a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame. 7.) Prime Video’s hit YA series The Summer I Turned Pretty is officially returning on July 16! Based on Jenny Han’s best-selling book trilogy, the coming-of-age drama centers on a love triangle between teen Belly and two brothers: the popular, easygoing, and bisexual Jeremiah, and the straight A-student and star athlete Conrad. Don’t miss the 11-episode third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty this summer and check out the teaser below!
8.) Ayo Edebiri is set to lead and executive produce Apple TV+’s Prodigies alongside Will Sharpe! The pair play ex-child prodigies in their 30s who begin to question whether their ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood. In other Edebiri news, the queer Emmy winner is also co-penning an upcoming episode of The Bear after her directorial debut in season three. 9.) Netflix renewed the small town romantic drama Sweet Magnolias for a fifth season. Based on the book series by Sherryl Woods, the show follows lifelong best friends Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen, as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the fictional town of Serenity, South Carolina. This season welcomes back Isaac, a young chef in search of his birth parents, as well as his love interest Michael, a former schoolmate. Catch up on the first four seasons today!

10.) Trans multi-disciplinary artist Ezra Furman released a new music video for “Power of the Moon,” the latest cut off her 10th studio album Goodbye Small Head, out May 16; watch the video below! In more music news, queer artist and activist Madame Gandhi shared her forthcoming album’s title track “Let Me Be Water feat. NATURE,” as part of an Earth Day initiative Sounds Right, and queer indie dream pop artist Susannah Joffe dropped the single “Call Me Pretty.” Additionally, out rapper and singer-songwriter Ashnikko teamed up with horsegiirL to remix her new song “Itty Bitty.” Queer Boston-based singer-songwriter and Harvard neuroscientist Staci Gruber also debuted the music video for single “No One Is Alone.” Finally, singer-songwriter Derek Webb—a previous member of contemporary Christian band Caedmon’s Call and current solo artist—released Survival Songs, an album dedicated to queer youth.
11.) The Cannes Film Festival added several titles to their official selection, including a plethora of LGBTQ-inclusive films, such as Kristen Stewart’s The Chronology of Water, Ethan Coen’s Honey Don’t!, Oliver Hermanus’ The History of Sound, Hafsia Herzi’s La Petite Dernière, Harry Lighton’s Pillion, Diego Cespedes’ The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo, and more! This year’s festival takes place May 13-24; check out the full Official Selection lineup.
